This May, the new dynamic band Myth of Unity have released their self produced EP.
Myth of Unity are a genre mashing seven piece band from the north
west, mixing drum and bass, pop, hip hop and rock into a unique and
thought provoking sound.
The release of their EP is building on the success of triumphantly
winning a place at this year's Glastonbury Festival through
Q-Magazine's national New Talent competition, in which over 8000 bands
participated. They impressed the judges so much that
Myth Of Unity were allocated the opening
slot of the Dance East (Glastonbury's third largest stage) in June 2008.
For Myth Of unity, Glastonbury was the first in a line of summer music
festivals where they received an enthusiastic and energetic reception from their growing audience.
Myth of Unity wrote, recorded, mixed and produced their self titledfirst EP, which captures the energy and free party feel of
their live performances.
The Blackpool based band originally formed in January 2007, and have since built up a strong and
supportive fan base throughout the north
west, crossing the various music scenes that their style traverses.
Myth of Unity have played The Hide and Seek Festival in Manchester twice, played several venues in Preston and Blackpool and have been interviewed by BBC Radio Lancashire for Sean McGintys radio show 'Brian' dedicated to hot new up and coming talent, aswell as featuring
on one of Adam and Jo's podcasts.
Myth of Unity has flown to success in just over a year,
and it always follows them wherever they go.
Myth of Unity have taken influences from all over the music
spectrum from Pendulum and Adam F to Slipknot and even Britney Spears, in an effort to come up with something totally unique, the result being something undeniably fresh and exciting; a new genre that will change the way you think about music.
