Familiar Looking Strangers were formed in January 2007 by vocalist Vinny McPoland formerly of The Skylarks, Paul Baker guitarist, and Jon Goldby bassist both formerly of Northern Souls.
In March they were joined by drummer Luis Arcos Vanreck and guitarist Carlos Lopez Herrero who came to Liverpool in September 2006 from Madrid, seeking musicians who share the same desire to create good music. Sharing the same musical influences such as Cream,Dylan,The Band,The Allman Bros and Tom Petty to name a few.
By April they recorded three of their songs using a friends home equipment at Pacific studios, which had immediate air play on local BBC Radio. They have since gone on to record at Parr Street Studios.
Having played many a good gig around Liverpool, the band are soon going to take over the world!
