Bokaata are an edgy and infectious Schizo-Rock trio that were formed in the summer of 2007 in the suburban depths of Cambridgeshire.
Fuelled by Gavin's obsession with the Manics, Nietzsche and Orwell, Charlie's love of samples and gadgets and Craig's complex and powerful rhythms, they burst onto the Cambridge scene in January 2008 with their first gig at the Barfly.
Since then they have played successful shows to their ever increasing fan base at Cellar Bar 8, the Man on the Moon, the Legends Bar and the Cambridge Rock Festival. With a support slot for Jubilee (featuring ex Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails members) and a gig at The Dublin Castle in London lined up the future looks bright.
One reviewer (A Man Called Moose) described the Bokaata experience as “an intelligent brand of grungy rock 'n' roll, on a bed of melody, sprinkled with samples and loops to augment their powerful sound and garnished with a massive dollop of passion.”
